 Rodriguezia venusta also called as The Lovely Rodriguezia, Burlingtonia fragrans, Burlingtonia knowlesii, Burlingtonia venusta, Rodriguezia fragrans, Rodriguezia venusta var ionoleuca, is a species of the genus Rodriguezia. This species was described by Heinrich Gustav Reichenbach in 1852.

 Rodriguezia venusta is native to Brazil. This orchid was discovered growing on the upper branches of cedrel trees near Bananal in the state of Minas Gerais. It is now known for its presence in cooler mountainous areas in the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais.

 It is a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphytic orchid, which reaching 9-18 cm in height, with narrowly ovoid to ovoid-oblong, 2-3 cm long and 1.0-1.5 cm wide pseudobulbs subtended by several leaf-like sheaths and carrying a single, apical, linear-lanceolate, acute, coriaceous, dark green, 7-15 cm long and 1.0-2.5 cm wide leaf.

 Rodriguezia venusta blooms with very fragrant flowers that occur on an axillary, pendant, to 17.5 cm long, racemose, few flowered inflorescence occurring in the spring. The flowers are up to 3.8 cm long and the floral elements are directed forward. They are white and on the lip have a gold-yellow shield.
