Tillandsia magnusiana, also called as Tillandsia plumosa var. magnusiana, is a species of the genus Tillandsia. This species was described by Marx Carl Ludwig Ludewig Wittmack in 1889.

It is a small sized epiphyte acaule with very numerous, flexible leaves that form a fine rosette. The sheaths are wide and triangular. The limbs are filiform. This species forms discards that appear to grow inside the mother plant after flowering.
This air plant bloom from the simple inflorescence, no-peduncle, with a squat spike (with few flowers) giving the inflorescence a globose appearance. The bracts of the flowering stem are not very visible and similar to the leaves, with reddish hues. The floral bracts are large, conspicuous, covered with scales and brownish red. The non fragrant flowers are tubular, 3 to 4 cm long. The color of the petals varies from dark purple to pale purple, almost white. The stamens are slightly exserted.
