Maxillaria friedrichsthalii, also called as Freidrichsthal's Maxillaria, Maxillaria turialbae, Rhetinantha friedrichsthalii, is a species of the genus Maxillaria. This species was described by Heinrich Gustav Reichenbach in 1852.

Maxillaria friedrichsthalii is native to Southern Mexico to Western Colombia. It is found growing in wet montane forests in Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico Southeast, Mexico Southwest, Nicaragua, Panama at elevations of 0-1500 meters above sea level.
It is a small sized, hot to cool growing, stout, ascending epiphyte with creeping rhizome. The pseudobulbs are 5 cm long, green, clustered, elliptic-oblong, slightly compressed, sulcate, enveloped basally by scarious sheaths, leaf bearing towards the apex. The leaves are 2 to 3, 15 cm long, apical, ligulate, obscurely bilobed apically, conduplicate below into the base.
Friedrichsthal's Maxillaria blooms in the spring and summer from the lateral, to 3.5 cm long, single flowered inflorescence that arising from the sheath of a mature pseudobulb.
