Dendrobium lambii, also called as Lamb’s Dendrobium (named to honor the Indonesian Orchid Enthusiast), Distichorchis lambii, is a species of the genus Dendrobium. This species was described by Jeffrey James Wood in 1983.
IDENTIFY DENDROBIUM LAMBII

It is a medium to large sized, cool growing epiphyte, which reaching a height of 65 cm, with a persistent leafy, 65 cm long stem carrying distichous, coriaceous, oblong-ligulate, curved, slightly narrowing towards the base , unequally bilobed, minutely erose, 6-9 cm long leaves.
Lamb’s Dendrobium blooms in the late winter and early spring on sessile, single flowered inflorescence with minute, ovate, acute, membraneous floral bracts and carrying fragrant, long lasting, non-resupinate flowers. The flowers are 3 cm in diameter. All of its elements have curved or twisted tops. The flakes of both whorls are white, turning into cinnamon and olive green. Aging, they take on an orange, peach or salmon shade. The lip is directed up and indented at the top.
