The Small Appendage Phalaenopsis is native only near Tembeling in the state of Pahang in Malaysia, on small trees growing in forested lowlands near streams and rivers. It is a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte occuring on small branches with a very short stem carrying 2 to 4, elliptic to oblong-elliptic, acute or obtuse leaves with a petiolate clasping base. The leaves are 8 cm long.

 Phalaenopsis appendiculata orchid, also called as The Small Appendage Phalaenopsis (refers to the longitudinal rows of teeth lateral to the 2 central calli on the lip), Doritis appendiculata, Grussia appendiculata, Phalaenopsis appendiculata f. alba, Polychilos appendiculata, is a species of the genus Phalaenopsis. This species was described by Carr in 1929.

 The flower have a delicate texture and rounded petals. The flakes of both whorls are white with purple spots, and the white lip has bright-violet and light-yellow spots. From the top of the lip, long white filaments grow.
