IDENTIFY PHRAGMIPEDIUM WALLISII
Phragmipedium wallisii is native to Colombia. This orchid grows on fully exposed stands, on the granite slopes of rocks and cliffs, at an altitude of 1220-2135 m.
It is a warm to cool sympodial lithophyte, which reaching a height of 36-61 cm, with a short, erect stem enveloped completely by imbricate, conduplicate leaf-bearing sheaths each carrying a distichous, stiff, yellow-green, obtuse, conduplicate from the middle to the base, 15-30 cm long leaf.

PHRAGMIPEDIUM WALLISII CARE AND CULTURE
Cultural information should only be used as a guide, and should be to be adapted to suit you. Your physical location; where you grow your plants, how much time you have to devote to their care, and many other factors, will need to be taken into account. Only then can you decide on the cultural methods that best suit you and your plants.
Light:
Phragmipedium wallisii needs a light level of 24000-35000 lux. It is recommended to lightly diffused light, because although plants are not shaded in nature, cloudless days are practically not there.
Temperature:
The average temperature of the summer day is 25-26 ° C, and the summer night 16-17 ° C, which gives a daily difference of 8-11 ° C. The average temperature of the winter day is 27-28 ° C, and the night 16-17 ° C, giving a daily difference of 9-12 ° C.
Humidity:
Wallis' Phragmipedium needs the average humidity of 80-85% in the growing season.
Substrate, growing media and repotting:
A substrate that is fast drying but requires a part of the moisture is necessary. Repotting is best done when new roots begin to grow.
Watering:
During the growing season, the Phragmipedium wallisii should be constantly wet. Although the precipitation pattern is wet / dry, the high level of humidity and a small number of cloudless days indicate that in the natural habitat of additional moisture provides dew, drizzle and low clouds.
Fertilizer:
In the growing season, weekly or every 2 weeks use 1/4-1/2 doses of fertilizer for orchids is recommended.
Rest period:
The given cultivation conditions should be maintained throughout the year. In winter, watering and fertilization for Phragmipedium wallisii should be slightly reduced until new increments are created in spring.
