 Odontoglossum harryanum also called as Harry's Odontoglossum, Oncidium harryanum, is a species of the genus Odontoglossum. This species was described by Heinrich Gustav Reichenbach in 1886.

IDENTIFY ODONTOGLOSSUM HARRYANUM

 Odontoglossum harryanum is native to Colombia. These plants meet in the northern part of the Andean Cordillera, in the Antioquia department. They grow on trees at the edge of forests in the lower parts of rainforest, at heights of 1800-2300 m.

 It is a medium sized, warm to cold growing plant, which reaching a size of 38-50 cm, with an ovoid-elliptic, sulcate, laterally compressed, 6-8 cm long and 3.5 cm wide pseudobulb subtended by several leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying 2 apical, oblong-elliptic to narrowly oblong, distinctly petiolate, acute to obtuse, up to 30 cm long and 4 cm wide leaves.

 Harry's Odontoglossum blooms in the summer through fall on a basal, sub-erect, to 120 cm tall, racemose, 4 to 12 flowered inflorescence with large, fragrant, waxy, long-lasting flowers. The flowers are not completely open, and are up to 9 cm high from the top of the dorsal petal to the tips of the outer whorl flakes.. The outer whorls are yellow-green, have a lot of nut-brown spots that are not on tops or a few transverse bands. The inner coat flakes are similarly colored on the greater part of the surface, but these are carmine-red in color and close to their base. The lip is white in the apical part of the middle plot in the youth, but with age it acquires a yellow color. The base of the middle plot and the plot at the base have many stripes and strands in the carmine-red color. The thickening around the base of the lip is lemon-yellow, and the rod is greenish at the base and acquires a yellow color at the apex.
