 Dendrobium microbulbon also called as The Reflexed Petal Dendrobium, Callista microbulbon, Dendrobium crispum, Dendrobium humile, is a species of the genus Dendrobium. This species was described by Achille Richard in 1841.

IDENTIFY DENDROBIUM MICROBULBON

 Dendrobium microbulbon is native to Western India, including the Konkan, West Ghats, Deccan and North Kanara regions. They are often seen growing out of bark of trees at elevations around 1220 meters.

Dendrobium microbulbon care and culture

 It is a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte, which reaching a height of 4-7 cm, with conical to ovoid, purplish brown, clustered, 1-2 cm long pseudobulbs that elongate just before blooming and are enveloped basally by sheaths that deteriorate to a network of fibers in time and carrying 2 apical, thick to thin, linear, oblong to lanceolate, 7.5-14,0 cm long leaves.

 The Reflexed Petal Dendrobium blooms in the winter on 1 to a few, slender, erect, branching, 0.8 to 4" (2 to 10 cm) long, simultaneously 3 to 10 flowered inflorescence arising at near the apex of an elongate leafless pseudobulb and carrying long lasting, faintly to strongly scented flowers. The flowers are 0.5-1.5 cm in diameter. The petals of both whorls may be white, greenish-yellow with pink ends or light, purple-green with darker purple lines. The 3-segment lip may be white or pink with darker pinkish veins or 2 small red dots in the throat. The almost round central plot is irregularly wavy. The spur is long and curved.

Watering:
