DENDROBIUM EXIMIUM CARE AND CULTURE
Cultural information should only be used as a guide, and should be to be adapted to suit you. Your physical location; where you grow your plants, how much time you have to devote to their care, and many other factors, will need to be taken into account. Only then can you decide on the cultural methods that best suit you and your plants.
Light:
Dendrobium eximium needs a light level of 18000-30000 lux.
Temperature:
The average temperature of the day throughout the year is 26-28 ° C, night 20 ° C, giving a daily difference of 6-8 ° C.
Humidity:
The Extraordinary Dendrobium needs the air humidity of almost 80% throughout the year.
Substrate, growing media and repotting:
Dendrobium eximium can grow in baskets or small pots, with very loose, quickly drying soil. Repotting is best done in early spring, immediately after a short drier rest, when new roots begin to grow.
Watering:
Water is abundant throughout the year, but in the period of 1-2 winter months is a bit drier. Cultivated plants should be kept constantly moist, with little drying between waterings.
Fertilizer:
Weekly or every 2 weeks use of 1/2 dose is recommended throughout the year. This species may requires strong fertilization.
Rest period:
The amount of water in the winter should be slightly reduced, especially when Dendrobium eximium are grown in dark and short winter conditions. However, they can never dry up completely. When reducing the amount of water, you also need to reduce the amount of fertilizer.
